Langley Manor won 12 of their 13 matches to carry off the County Division 4 West title, finishing five points ahead of runners-up Verwood, who inflicted their only defeat of the season in the penultimate round of fixtures.
The solitary defeat put pressure on the Manor to win their final game against Ellingham II, who they crushed by nine wickets.
Predictably, there were some tight ones along the way, with Langley Manor scoring seven runs off the last two balls to pip Winterbourne by one wicket and the side recovering from 61-5 to chase down Southampton Travellers' 146.
Batsman/wicketkeeper James Purnell had a fine season with bat and gloves, scoring two centuries amid his 353-run aggregate and snapping up 18 victims behind the stumps. Kevin Cresswell (387) and Luke Jerram (296) also prospered with the bat, while Jackson Sheppard (21), Jamie Brown (18) and Dylan Hatton (15) took a lion's share of the wickets.
