Newly promoted Sarisbury Athletic are lining up former South Wilts all-rounder Ryan Burl as their overseas player in the ECB Southern Electric Premier League. The left-hand batsman and leg-spin bowler has spent the past two summers with champions South Wilts, but having missed the bulk of the 2014 SPL season with a serious shoulder injury, quit the Salisbury club in early August last year to concentrate playing in his native Zimbabwe. Burl, 20, subsequently made three Zimbabwe A appearances against Canada, besides playing eight domestic Logan Cup matches for Mashonaland Eagles, his three half-centuries including a top score of 92.
