SWAY, SOUTHERN PREMIER DIVISION 3 CHAMPIONS 

Twenty-two years ago, Sway were playing in Hampshire League Division Six. In 2023, they completed a remarkable rise through the Hampshire pyramid by winning Southern Premier Division 3 in only their second year. 
Affected badly by the weather - seven of their scheduled 18 games were rained off - Sway won all 11 completed matches, with 2024 skipper David Steadman taking 27 wickets and both Tim Noble (341) and Will Crossley (297) finishing high in the SPL batting charts.

WATERLOOVILLE, DIVISION 2 CHAMPIONS

An eight-match winning run after a delayed start put Waterlooville in pole position to launch their ultimately successful Division 2 title bid, which only creaked towards the end of the campaign by which time the champagne was on ice.  
New Zealander Josh McGregor top scored with 314 runs, while Joe Mitchell captured 27 wickets, working in tandem with Sam Hillman, the pair sending down 63 maidens.

Basingstoke & North Hants were Southern League Division 1 champions and are back amongst the ECB Premier Division elite after a four-year absence. 
They won their opening four matches before suffering a hefty 100-run defeat at arch rivals Hook & Newnham Basics before embarking on another eight-match win run which included two absorbing affairs against Andover, the eventual runners-up. 
That win sequence took them to the brink of the title before a successive summer tailed off with consecutive defeats by Sarisbury Athletic and Portsmouth. Matt Deadman (390) and Ash Neal (370) each scored over 300 runs, with off-spinner Dubs Wood and Neal the lead wicket takers.
