The 2016 season will live long in the memory at East Woodhay, who carried of a memorable Hampshire League championship and local T20 Plate double. Founder members of the HCL in 1973, they had never previously won a title, but they finished two points clear of Redlynch & Hale to win County 3 North, their first silverware in 43 years. hey batted powerfully all season, with Tom Flack (645 runs), Joe Lawrance (402) and Richard Dando (380 and 25 wickets) to the fore). Their T20 success came in the Cyril Thompson Plate at May's Bounty in late August when they beat strongly fancied Odiham & Greywell (161-8) of the last ball, Nick Bird hitting 74 and Dando 48 as they won by five wickets.
