Runners-up to Hythe & Dibden in 2018, Parley emerged Hampshire League County Division 1 champions by a five-point margin from Hook & Newnham Basics II, one of the three sides to beat them.
Parley made a somewhat indifferent start, losing twice early on (to Hook and Bedhampton) before piecing together a run of nine wins in their next ten matches.
Lifting the Peter Faulkner Cup climaxed a trophy laden decade for Parley, who had previously achieved a staggering seven promotions in the ten years since joining Regional 4 South West back in 2009. Only on two occasions – in 2012 and 2015 – did they not climb the pyramid.
For the second year running, Ollie Green topped the CD1 bowling charts, taking 36 wickets (one more than in 2018) and also chipped in with 122 v relegated Ryde, against whom Sam Collins struck 122.  On six separate occasions Green took a wicket in his first over.
Collins, with 499 runs, skipper Alex Nippard (427) and Roshan Embalagama (410) were Parley’s lead run scorers.  Nippard nipped in with 20 victims and Jack Rowett 16.
