Bashley (Rydal) left-armer Brad Currie picked up the wicket of Jos Buttler in a superb first spell with the ball for Scotland against ICC World Cup neighbours England, but they weren't able to defend their total of 152 as Harry Brook's side bounced back from their West Indies defeat.
Currie scored two from number 11 as Scotland reached 152, having been put in by Brook at at Calcutta's Eden Gardens
The Poole based seamer took the second over with the ball as Scotland looked to defend that total, and he bowled impressively in tandem with Brandon McMullen as they got off to a good start.
Opener Phil Salt was dismissed by McMullen for two in the first over, before Currie's second went for nine runs - although five of those came from a four behind the keeper from a ball that just swung down leg and beat everything.
But Currie used the extra ball brilliantly to see Buttler caught at mid-off as he tried to clear the ring.
Currie's second over was equally as impressive as it went for just five runs, leaving England 21/2 after four overs.
His third and final over came in the 14th over and that again was economical, going for just seven, but England by that point had got themselves into a strong position thanks to Somerset's Tom Banton, and they reached their target after two balls of the 19th over.
Currie's Scotland are next in action on Tuesday as they face Nepal in Mumbai in their final group game.
