Bournemouth are off to a flier in the ECB Southern Premier League with visiting Basingstoke & North Hants crushed by nine wickets in the Chapel Gate curtain raiser.
James Van Gool, Luke Webb and Ben Rogers all hit half-centuries after Namibia international Shaun Fouche had ripped through Basingstoke's top order.
His spell of 3-29, coupled with two strikes by Oli Breckon (2-44), had Basingstoke reeling at 67-6, leaving rookie left-hander Abilsh Nanthakumar [below] to glue the innings together.

The 16-year old did that admirably, emerging undefeated with 69 after a marathon 162-ball stay at the crease. He hit only four boundaries but added a precious 72 runs with Matt Donaldson (38) as Basingstoke reached 186-9, Jake Hurley taking 2-35
Van Gool (55) led the way for Bournemouth, beating the boundary rope ten times as the Lions raced to 78 before Ethan O'Donoghue, Basingstoke's Kiwi recruit, broke through.
The young South African set a pacey pattern as Webb (60 not out) and Rogers, who had earlier pouched four victims behind the stumps, hit an unbeaten 66.
The pair cleared the rope three times and hit 14 fours as Bournemouth reached their target with 20 overs to spare.
