Hook & Newnham Basics rattled up a season's best 315 to set up a 109-run win over Southern Premier Division 1 rivals Waterlooville.
Basics normally reserve their run sprees for their King George V ground, but this one came at Rowlands Avenue, where the Hook batsmen garnered 37 fours, in addition to four sixes. It was the fourth time this season Hook had made a 270-plus score.
Sam Lockwood and Harry Warner (both 42) provided a platform for Matt Buckingham to crack 85 and Rupert Armstrong 67 before Josh Buckingham (39) joined in the fun.
Waterlooville lost their top three cheaply before in-form Josh McGregor (72) and Tim Jackson (30) provided some substance to their 206 all out, spinner Charlie Neville taking 4-33.

A recent four-match winning run swept OTs & Romsey into third place, but two losses have followed, the one-wicket defeat by Andover earning the Lions crucial in points in their quest for survival. It was only their second win.
Hampshire's Chris Wood, with top score 45 and a subsequent 3-42 return, did his bit but OTs were unable to defend 173 in a game of fluctuating fortunes. They were 38-4 when Wood featured in a half-century stand which sparked life into the lower order. Babu Veetil and Ollie Williams shared six wickets.
Andover slipped to 25-3 before Harri Williams (30) and Brandon Smith added 48 before Joe Vaughan (2-27) struck a double blow. Wood's three wickets left Andover 127-7 (Matt Hooper 26), but Veetil launched a typical counter attack only for two more wickets to fall to 169-9. Veetil continued to blaze away finishing with 41 not out, including two sixes.
