Burridge cricketer Jack Paskins will miss the upcoming ECB Southern Premier League season and be sidelined from all sport for another twelve months after suffering an ACL rupture playing five-a-side football.
"I've made a proper job of it - a left ACL rupture, torn MCL and torn Meniscus. ACL is the one that will need to be reconstructed so will be 9-12 months rehab before I’m back playing sport," he explained.
A past Locks Heath captain, Paskins played in Burridge's 2023 Southern Premier League and T20 Cup double winning side and last summer, batting alongside Cape Town run gun Mat Goles at the top of the order, made almost 350 league runs.
With Goles staying put in the Cape, new Burridge captain Oli Southon is facing a potential run scoring dilemma at the top of the order. Burridge begin at St Cross Symondians on May 3.
