Calmore Sports launch their Southern Premier Division 1 challenge against Alton tomorrow and 24 hours later on Sunday afternoon, also at Loperwood Park, continue their defence of the Voneus Village Cup they won at Lord’s last September.
Sarisbury Athletic make the cross-city Sunday trip in the Village Cup, making it a demanding weekend for Mark Lavelle’s side, who put out Hambledon in the last round.
Whereas Calmore are virtually unchanged – Oxford University’s Ben Fisher is the only absentee - Alton have lost several players since being relegated from the Premier Division.
Hampshire prospect Fletcha Middleton, Academy bound Jude Wright and lead SPL wicketkeeper Julian Ballinger have gone, but Alton will be a threat in SPL1, where South African Bash Walters is expected to dominate with the ball.
Walters flew in from Cape Town this week having spent the winter months playing for Western Province at Newlands.
He will be joined in attack by Arul Appavoo, who has joined the Brewers from Maidenhead & Bray.
Calmore Sports: Lavelle, Bailey, Bound, Brewster, Carty, Croft, Johns, Johnson, Manning, Perry, Wright.
Alton: Harris, Gonella, MJ Heffernan, Myers, MP Heffernan, South, Blyghton, Crane, Walters, Salmon, Appavoo.

Sparsholt and Portsmouth will probably fancy their chances of being in the promotion mix come early September and, if past recent encounters are to be a pointer, their meeting at the Norman Edwards Ground could be a spicy affair.
Compton & Chandler’s Ford quick Ash Lovell makes his competitive debut for Sparsholt, while left-hand opener Ben Duggan captains Portsmouth, who are without lead spinner Andy Marston.
But four new players have joined the Pompey set, including batsman/keeper Richard Warner and former South Wilts seamer Steve Warner (no relation), who is now coaching the club.
Pinch hitter Dan Wimble has arrived from Fareham & Crofton alongside Indian spinner Rakshita Rao, who has taken over 50 wickets for Foxton in the Cambridgeshire & Huntingdon Premier League in the past two summers.
Sparsholt: Banks, Frith, Sumner, Berrill, May, Collison, Doran, Ley, O Williams, Lovell, J Williams.
Portsmouth: Duggan, R Warner, Mitchell, Marston, Christian, Wimble, S Warner, Woolf, McArdle, Silva, Rao.

Sarisbury Athletic give a competitive debut to talented Gosport Borough raised all-rounder Jacob Harris against Basingstoke & North Hants at May’s Bounty.
Harris, who celebrated his 21st birthday yesterday, scored close on 500 runs and took 24 wickets in SPL3 for Gosport last season and joins ex-Paultons pair Cam Grierson and Nathan Feltham.
Sarisbury chased down 269-9 to beat Hambledon by six wickets in their last warm-up match, while Basingstoke’ batsmen have been struggling badly. Skittled for 40 by Camberley in their opening game, they plunged from 52-0 to 92 all out at Alton last weekend.
Sarisbury Athletic: J Hill, Rawlins, Grierson, Floyd, Smith, Feltham, Harris, Franklin, Wright, Degrussa, S Hill.
Talented youngster Oli Ryman swaps his soccer boots for his cricket gear when Rowledge visit Liphook & Ripsley in an East Hants derby at Ripsley Park.
Ryman, an attacking wing-back with Farnham Town, has recently been having youth trials with Chelsea and will be joined in the Rowledge team by elder brother Will, who has travelled down from Durham University for a weekend of SPL1 and Village Cup action.
Rowledge: B Wish, Harvey, J Wish, Harvey, R Yates, Forbes, W Ryman, Baker, O Ryman, Baker, Lloyd, Littlewood, Whitney.
New Milton won’t be relying on any overseas aid this summer – South African Harlan Grieg took 30 wickets, in addition to scoring almost 300 runs last summer – but promoted Ventnor, visitors to Fernhill, have shipped in Dineth Thimodya, a left-hand bat, from Sri Lanka.
New Milton: Watts, Edwards, L Beck, R Beck, Loader, Bartlett, Humphrey, Nicholls, Freeman, Hall, Wooster
