Lymington pace pair Matt Metcalfe and Josh Proctor combined to skittle Havant for 91 – the second consecutive week and the third time this season the defending ECB Southern Premier League champions have been bundled out for less than 100.
They set up a thumping nine-wicket win for Lymington – a result that saw Havant drop into the bottom half of the Premier Division table.
Already weakened by the absence of in-form opener Stuart Ransley and left-arm spin all-rounder Chris Morgan, Havant toppled from 37-0 (Pete Hopson 24) and later on lost their last five wickets for a meagre 13 runs.
Metcalfe (5-20), with a remarkable 28th five-wicket haul in a fine Southern League career, and Proctor (4-31), who joined Lymington from Hampshire League outfit Ryde this season, sliced through the batting, sending down 30 of the 38 overs it took to bowl Havant out.
Kieron Moors clung on to three catches behind the stumps as Havant contrived to total five runs less than the 96 they managed losing to Bashley (Rydal) seven days previously.
It took Lymington 16 overs to complete the formalities – Ben Rogers hitting an unbeaten 37 and Ryan Scott 32 not after Ollie Calcott (21) had been bowled by Cam Prentice.
