HAMBLEDON'S ground at Ridge Meadow bathed in Spring sunshine - the weather conditions so perfect captain Spencer le Clerq has summonsed his players to training this week, a full seven days ahead of schedule.
"Like everyone else, we've had no indoor net practice whatsoever and the guys are keen to get active, so we'll be hitting our straps nice and early ahead of our first friendly on April 17," he said.
Hambledon have two warm up matches ahead of the big Village Cup tie against Ventnor on April 25, a match which is already creating interest locally, with run-gun Henry Glanfield thirsting to entertain a big crowd.
