The Hampshire and Dorset Cricket Societies have launched their autumn guest speaker programmes in some style, with retired MCC Chief Executive Roger Knight addressing the HCS and current AFC Bournemouth soccer chairman Jeff Mostyn taking at Dorset's opening session this week. Both were superb.
So, who's coming next ?
Next Wednesday (October 26 at 2pm), former England assistant coach Paul Farbrace, who recently stepped down as Warwickshire's sport director, will speak to the Hampshire Cricket Society at the Romsey Golf Club (where excellent lunches are available).
Dorset's next main event is on Thursday 3 November when former Hampshire left-arm pace bowler James Tomlinson, now the county's Youth Pathway Director, will be on stage at the Christchurch FC, Hurn Bridge, 1.45pm.
Both Societies have attracted a good number of new members and will be delighted to welcome even more. Just come along and join up. Guaranteed to be enjoyable ...
