The ten Southern Premier League Division 1 clubs could be dressing up in their pyjama coloured kit and playing ‘white ball’ 50-over cricket next summer.
The clubs are being asked at Thursday’s AGM whether they want to play either half or the full 18-week programme with a white ball, as opposed to the traditional red Dukes version.
Alternatively, they could decide to stay with red ball cricket.
The clubs in SPL1 in 2020 are Andover, Basingstoke & North Hants, Calmore Sports, New Milton, Portsmouth, Rowledge, Sarisbury Athletic, Sparsholt, and promoted duo St Cross Symondians II and Totton & Eling.
'White ball' cricket was introduced into the ECB Premier Division several seasons ago and has proved popular with the players, especially the batsmen !
