DRAPER SETS UP KEY WILTS WIN BEFORE ULLAH'S FIREWORKS

South Wilts have snatched the ECB Southern Premier League's top spot - just as the competition turns into the home straight.
They visit Lymington on Saturday with a two-point lead tucked under their belts, courtesy of a 41-run win at Burridge coinciding with the Hampshire Academy, the overnight leaders, losing to St Cross Symondians.
It's a perfect position from which Ben Draper's side can launch an unexpected title tilt - one not anticipated after all the close season player personnel changes at Bemerton.
After visiting Lymington, South Wilts are at home to bottom of the table Havant (August 24) before the curtain closes against the Academy on the Utilita Bowl Nursery Ground.
With the aid of 58 extras (the second time this season Burridge have conceded fifty or more sundries), South Wilts posted 289-9.
The total was based around Ben Draper (56) and middle-order team-mates, Harry Broderick (48) and Archie Fairfax-Ross (46), the score swelling by 188 during their combined stays at the crease, those extras helping things along.
When 2023 champions Burridge slipped to 110-6 (Jack Paskins 34), it looked all over by the shouting - but then Inayat Ullah launched an amazing counter-attack.
Supported initially by Oli Southon (30) and then Ben White (24), Ullah cleared the Botley Road boundary rope six times and scored four fours in a quick fire 70 not out as Burridge rallied to 248 all out, the last four wickets adding 138 runs.
