Two previous ECB Southern Premier League cricketers, Craig Ervine and Ryan Burl helped Zimbabwe beat Scotland by five wickets in Hobart and qualify for the ICC T20 World Cup Super 12s.
Ervine top scored with 58 and Burl hit the winning boundary as Zimbabwe chased down Scotland's 132-6 with nine balls to spare. First up in the Super 12s is a showdown with Big Brother, South Africa on Tuesday.
Ervine had a brief three-match spell with Lymington in 2012, making a duck on debut against St Cross Symondians - Matt Perry-Lewis took 8-42 (why not ask him about it ?) - before scoring 46 not out against the Hampshire Academy and 18 in the win over Ventnor at Newclose.
Burl spent the next three seasons in the SPL while at Solent University, initially with South Wilts then Sarisbury Athletic.
Across the Tasman Sea, James Hartshorn is back in action for Wellington Firebrands after dislocating his shoulder in Lymington's final match of the season. He only took two wickets but hit the winning boundary in a dramatic last gasp win over Northern Districts at the Basin Reserve.
