Hampshire Academy duo Ben Mayes and pace bowling all-rounder Manny Lumsden have been selected for England Under-19s seven-match tour to the Caribbean island of St Vincent next month where they will play ODIs against the West Indies and the USA.
The tournament, in which Winchester College talent Seb Morgan will also be involved, forms an important part of England's preparation for the next ICC Under-19 World Cup to be played in Namibia and Zimbabwe in January.
The Hampshire pair both made their county debuts in his summer's Metro Bank One Day Cup, with Mayes earning a multi-year professional contract.
They also represented England U19s earlier this summer and played alongside one another in two matches against Bangladesh U19s.
In the One-Day Cup, Mayes marked his debut with a half-century whilst Lumsden claimed figures of 3-64, both against Glamorgan in Neath and helped Hampshire to the final of the competition at Trent Bridge.
For England U19s in 2025, Mayes has scored 290 runs at an average of 32 whilst Lumsden has taken three wickets in as many matches.
