Hampshire batsmen Toby Albert (left) and Aneurin Donald (right) happily swapped the ordeal of recovering from ACL knee surgery by scoring centuries for Hampshire seconds on the opening day of the Second XI Championship victory over Durham on the Ageas Bowl Nursery Ground.
The pair are both on the comeback trail after undergoing serious knee operations in the past few years - Albert hitting a patient  100 (15 fours) while Donald blasted three maximums and 17 fours in his 109, made off 73 balls.   The pair added 163 for the third wicket after openers Tom Prest and Fletcha Middleton had fallen cheaply.
Captain Scott Currie (43), Mason Crane (39*), Brad Wheal (36*) and Charlie Mumford (22) all chipped in as Hampshire progressed to 390-7 by stumps, having been put into bat. Hampshire went on to post 472 all out, Brad Wheal making 82 and Crane 44 in an 84-run eighth wicket stand.
Durham were dismissed for 126 (Wheal taking 5-27) and then Hampshire 145 (Mason Crane 36).  Durham were 64-4 at stumps on day three and eventually bowled out for 155, Josh Croom taking 3-35. Hampshire won by 336 runs.
