Hampshire Seniors’ previously successful 60’s team must beat Wiltshire at Marlborough on Wednesday to avoid being bottom of their Sixties County Championship west group.
Beaten by five wickets by Devon in their opening match, Hampshire crashed a 95 all out and a crushing 119-run defeat by Gloucestershire at Hursley Park.
Responding to Gloucestershire’s 214-6, Hampshire sank to 49-6 before Chris Yates (24) and Martin Shephard (21) combined to almost double their score to 95 all out.
Wiltshire have also lost both their matches against Somerset and Wales.
