Lymington's Neil Trestrail hit an unbeaten 60 on his sentimental Horsham return, but was unable to spare the Hampshire Seniors' from a four-wicket defeat by their Sussex counterparts.
Opener Trestrail (60) and Chris Wheeler (40) both survived spilled catches and with Dave Simpson (52) eased Hampshire to 220-6 (40 overs), but Sussex knocked off the runs with four overs to spare, with Rowledge left-armer Chris Yates taking two of the six wickets to fall.
Trestrail was a prominent all-rounder in Horsham's glory days as Sussex League champions.
A lean start to the new season has seen Hampshire's Sixties seconds lose by seven wickets to Somerset - opener Mark Jackson (72) and Colin Day (43) top scored - while the 70s were thrashed by nine wickets by Sussex after posting 158-6 (Andy Yorke 33, Peter Tapper 31).
