Havant have signed experienced 31-year old Eastern Province right-arm seamer Siviwe Gidana (left) as their overseas player for the upcoming ECB Southern Premier League campaign.
It will be the Port Elizabeth born cricketer's fourth summer in England, Gidana having previously played league cricket in Northants and Yorkshire.
He has made 119 First Class appearance in South African cricket, taking 130 wickets and helping Eastern Province lift the CSA 3-day Provincial Cup against Northerns this past winter.
Gidana will probably be part of a three-pronged Havant seam attack, with Richard Jerry and Portsmouth University student Krissie Mistry, who played in the uni's BUCS indoor sixes triumph last month.
Chris Stone continues at the helm for Havant, whose former captain Ben Walker has joined Bashley (Rydal), all-rounder Andy Gorvin (St Fagan's/Chichester Priory Park), with Cam Prentice remaining in South Wales, where he is preparing for his upcoming university finals.
