South Wilts must win their next two matches if they are to impact the ECB Southern Premier Division championship in the closing month of the season.
Twenty-five points adrift of defending champions St Cross Symondians, they host Bournemouth in the final Time pennant game at Bemerton on Saturday, 11am.
Seven days later, it's St Cross away - a match that could have massive implications for both teams !
"We had a blip a month or so ago but have won three of our last four matches and currently lie second, so there are plenty of positives," skipper Ben Draper pointed out.
"We've got to win as many games as we can - its seven from ten completed games so far - but the upcoming Bournemouth and St Cross Symondians games are massive."
South Wilts have beaten Alton and Bashley (Rydal) in their last two outings - Harry Broderick and Archie Pascoe starring in the 65-run win at bottom of the pile Bashley.
Broderick's 82 was his third fifty-plus score in five Time matches and cemented a solid South Wilts start, complimented later by Archie Fairfax-Ross (44) who has established himself as the lead all-rounder in the Bemerton side. South Wilts closed 258-9.
Pascoe celebrated a maiden Premier League five-wicket haul as Bashley were dismissed for 193, Cam Basey (42) and Patrick Lewis (34) top scoring.
Pascoe removed the Bashley middle and lower order with his 5-59 return.
The emerging Cam Basey caught the eye for Bashley, scoring 42 after a 3-41 spin return.
