Bashley (Rydal) are forced into wholesale changes ahead of their demanding Time pennant visit to ECB Southern Premier League champions, Havant.
Teenage left-arm pace bowler Brad Currie and new-ball partner Dan Goodey are absent, along with wicketkeeper Chris Ridley, who has a long-term knee injury. The reliable Tom Jacques is also unavailable.
Currie is still recovering and rebuilding his body strength after the stomach ailment which led to him spending two days in hospital after last weekend’s drawn match with Lymington, while Bournemouth university student Goodey has returned home to Devon to play for Plymouth.
Captain Michael Porter’s wheeling and dealing in the transfer market has led to one-time Totton & Eling batsman/keeper Zak Millar joining from Bath, where he has been at university for the past three years. Teenager Patrick Lewis will be behind the stumps, with Ross Grierson bolstering the four-pronged spin attack.
Bashley (Rydal) lie third in the table six points behind Havant, Premier Division champions for the past two seasons.
