HAMPSHIRE SIXTIES, beaten by six wickets by 2021 National champions Kent at St Helen's.
Standing (from left): Kevin Weeks, Nick Board, Chris Yates, Barry Goodman, Tim Joy, Rick Marston. Front: Andre Manders, Martin Shephard, Neil Trestrail, Geoff Beale, Neil Sutherland.
Hampshire Seniors continue to prop up the National Sixties League South table after a six-wicket defeat by table topping Kent, who celebrated a sixth win in seven.
Lymington's Neil Trestrail (43) and Neil Sutherland (38) gave Hampshire a purposeful start, which Geoff Beale's unbeaten 55 improved. But Hampshire's 205-8 was always 50 or so short of a competitive total.
Half-centuries by Chris Swadkin (who likes facing the Hampshire bowling) and Keith Sawyer eased Kent home.
Next up on the Seniors' calendar is a 70s match against Somerset at Twyford (Thursday, 1pm), Surrey 60s (Sparsholt, next Tuesday), then 50s v Isle of Wight at Bashley (Rydal) on Wednesday.
