Former Bournemouth left-hand opening batsman and past Broadstone golf captain Keith Balmer left us recently, aged 78, after bravely fighting serious heart illness.
One of Darlington's finest, Keith played in Bournemouth's 1984 Southern League championship winning team, alongside Dorset in Minor Counties cricket. He later became a prominent member of the Dorset 50s team and Bournemouth Wanderers.
His funeral is at 2pm on Tuesday 25 August at the Harbour View in Randalls Hill, Lytchett Minster, Dorset, BH16 6AN, Broadstone Golf Club will host the wake at Wentworth Drive, Broadstone, Dorset, BH18 8DQ
