Waterlooville have signed Josh McGreggor, a 23-year old top order batsman from the Howick Pakuranga club in Auckland, New Zealand, as their overseas player for the upcoming Southern Premier Division 2 campaign.
The Kiwi (left) made an immediate impression, scoring an unbeaten 60 as the Ville helped themselves to 293-7 off 40 overs against Middleton II at Sea Lane.
Archie Reynolds (54) and Josh McCoy (29), snapped up from neighbours Purbrook, gave Ville a sound start before Alex Shephard (40) and Dan Birch (32) spent time in the middle.
Middleton II were dismissed for 210, with Sam Reynolds and Shephard sharing six of the wickets.
Two centuries were scored at The Quarters, where Gosport Borough chased down Hursley Park's 174-7 to win by six wickets.
Kumo Sharma made 100 (three sixes and nine fours) for HP, whose attack was taken apart by West Indian Denzil James, who whacked four maximums and 13 fours in an unbeaten 118.
