Local cricket followers will be interested in Monday's South Africa MSL T20 Cup final between Paarl Rocks and Tshwane Spartans, which is being played in front of a sell-out crowd at Boland Park and screened live on BT Sport from 3.30pm onwards.
Hampshire head coach Adrian Birrell is in charge of the Paarl Rocks side, which includes former Portsmouth Grammar School left-hander Cameron Delport, who helped Hants Under-17s thrash Durham (including Ben Stokes) in the 2007 ECB County final at Hove, and Sibonelo Mayhanya, who played ECB Southern Premier League cricket for Basingstoke & North Hants in 2018.
Spartans are skippered by Heinrich Klaasen, who played for Purbrook as a teenager and before joining the Centurion-based Titans.
