Fair Oak have entered the Cawston Press national village cup for the first time - but the draw for the opening round on Sunday April 26 hasn't been kind to them.
They have been paired with Southern Premier League Division 1 rivals Ventnor, but will have home advantage at Lapstone Park.
"Being drawn at home in the village cup can be critical, especially when there's a potential and expensive trip to the Isle of Wight involved," reflected Oak captain Harry Reed.
With the first round ties being scheduled the weekend before the respective league programmes begin, Reed anticipates two strong sides turning out on April 26.
Jenson Bishop will captain Hursley Park this coming season and faces a tough baptism against beaten 2025 Village Cup semi-finalists Hambledon at Ridge Meadow.
Past Lord's winners Calmore Sports have a derby with Cadnam, while Bramshaw venture into the New Forest to Sway.
Hook & Newnham Basics and Sparsholt receive first round byes.
First round draw includes: Hambledon v Hursley Park, Calmore Sports v Cadnam, Fair Oak v Ventnor, Amport v Easton and Martyr Worthy, Tichborne Park v Paultons, South Winchester v Bedhampton Mariners, Sway v Bramshaw, Bosham v Emsworth, Hadlow Down v Liphook & Ripsley, Addington 1743 v Odiham & Greywell, Grayshott v Overton.
