Will Allam's unbeaten century was to no avail as Tichborne Park crashed to a nine-wicket defeat by Sparsholt in a Winchester National Village Cup derby at the Norman Edwards Ground.
He rescued Tichborne from 86-7 (Skinner 50) with an undefeated 112, which included five sixes and 12 fours, raising their total to 237-9 in the process.
But Sparsholt's response was equally brutal, Tom Berzins hiting 20 fours and a six in his 116 out, having shared a massive 192-run opening partnership with Robbie Skeates (68). Sparsholt won with 12 overs to spare.

Bramshaw's Tom Arnold was another NVC first round centurion, scoring 108 in the nine-wicket win over Overton (203), in which John Booth hit 52.
Joe Stephens took 5-32 as Cadnam nipped Hook & Newnham Basics out for 148 (Cam Hall 50) before recovering from 30-3 to win by five wickets, Jacob George and Dan George each scoring 43.
Calmore Sports, Sarisbury Athletic and Ventnor progressed courtesy of walkovers, while teenager Tim Restall made 61 to set up a 111-run win for Hambledon at Oakley.
