Hampshire Seniors' left-arm bowler Nic Gargaro has flown to Australia with the England Over-60s team which is defending the 'Grey Ashes' in a series of five One-Day Internationals being played at various venues over the next four weeks.
England play a total of 13 matches in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, eager to repeat their past 'Ashes' successes in 2019 and again in 2023.
The two old foes have met 35 times in Over 60s cricket with England winning on 23 occasions, Australia ten, with one draw and one tie.
Gargaro, who played Southern Premier League cricket for New Milton, previously toured South Africa and played for England seniors against Pakistan this summer.
Opening the bowling, he took a wicket in England's friendly victory over Queensland City.
* England lost the opening ODI against Australia by eight wickets at the Bradman Oval in Bowral, Gargaro bowling a tidy but wicketless nine-over spell and conceding only 20 runs.
