PREMIER 3: HURSLEY PARK FORCED TO RING CHANGES

23/6/2017

Hursley Park’s bid to pull away from the British Gas Southern League Division 3 danger zone has been hit by player unavailability.
Skipper Paul Marks has led Hursley to victory in each of their last two matches – but has been forced to make five changes for the visit to The Quarters of promotion chasing Waterlooville.
Opening batsman Neil Jackson, spin all-rounder Oli Green and swing bowler Tom Burns are among the absentees, but Tom James and Jan Solanki, who shared eight wickets in last week’s win over Fair Oak, are set to play against the second placed visitors.
Hursley Park: Marks, Deacon, Pile, Wateridge, Branford, Bailey, Turner, Flynn, Kajendran, James, Solanki.
Relegated Fawley are sliding into trouble – they lie five points above Hursley Park – and a visit to Holbury from table topping Basingstoke & North Hants II isn’t a match they will relish.
Fawley: A Parratt, Brown, Freeman, Leach, C Earl, E Earl, Bolton, Nason, Rice, B Parratt, Smith.
Lead SPL3 run scorer Tom Larner returns for Gosport Borough, who visit third placed Bashley (Rydal), a side likely to be weakened by first team calls, including that of their inspirational captain Phil Morris.
Fair Oak welcome back Ed Kemp for the visit to lowly Havant II, but Andy Surman is away at sea.
Fair Oak: Hughes, G Stewart, Eley, Kemp, Bullough, Hockenhull, Abbas, Oxley, Featherstone, Mash, R.Stewart.
Stand out game in the Hampshire League is the joust between Lymington II and Portsmouth & Southsea at the Sports Ground. Table topping Ryde visit lowly Rowledge II.
