Kieran Moors launched an astonishing display of six hitting to take Lymington seconds to within an ace of overhauling Purbrook’s 241-6 at the Heath.
All appeared lost when Moors, pictured, arrived at the crease with Lymington 123-7.
But eight huge sixes (mainly straight) and five fours later, the ginger-haired all-rounder had 84 runs to his name off 52 balls – and Purbrook were sweating.
Fortunately for them, with Lymington now 238-9 and needing only four to win, Martin Lee clean bowled Moors – and Purbrook celebrated a nerve racking three-run Premier Division 3 win !
Josh McCoy as Purbrook’s main man, with 57 and 3-58 return.
