Hursley Park have their eyes firmly set on Southern Premier Division 3 promotion after moving 30 points clear following a handsome 86-run victory over St Cross Symondians II.
It took their points tally to 193 from 11 completed matches, 17 ahead of second placed Odiham & Greywell and 30 away from Ferndown Wayfarers.
Tom Flynn left (65) led HP to 190-9 before Rory Tennant (4-14) teased St Cross with his left-arm mystic. St Cross 104 all out.
Ed Philpott took his run tally to 270 from the last five matches, scoring 68 as Hartley Wintney's 205 proved too many for Alton II, who fell to 102 all out, Jamie Teale taking 4-44.
Fareham & Crofton haven't won since they topped SPL3 a month ago and, once bowled out for 207 (Tom Kent 46), never looked like beating Trojans. Sid Sriram hit 78 as Trojans won by six wickets in quick time .. with 26 overs to spare.
