Portsmouth & Southsea ended a five-match losing run which threatened their short stay in Southern Premier Division 2 when they trimmed hosts St Cross Symondians II at the Green Jackets ground.
Last year's SPL3 winners posted 175 - Shaun Briggs (46) and Matt Benfield (28) top scoring before Dave Lee hit a brisk 24 - before dismissing St Cross Symondians for 143 (Jason Laney 36). Spinner Dave Orchard earlier took 5-27 to finish second in the Division 2 bowling charts.
