Rowledge’s teenagers have reached the finals day of the Surrey section of the Vitality ECB National T20 competition.
It has been a fantastic effort by the squad of 18 players who have beaten a trio of Surrey Championship teams in a strong group containing Cranleigh, Guildford, Normandy and Valley End. Three wins and Cranleigh conceding (due to Covid isolation issues) saw Rowledge finish top of the five team league and reach the Surrey Finals Day at Valley End (near Chobham) on Sunday (September 6) with an 11 am semi-final start against Sutton Sharks.
If Rowledge win, they will play either Esher or Valley End in the final at 3pm.
Manager Chris Yates warned: “The competition will be fierce and any of the teams could win it and Rowledge will have to be at their best to reach the final, let alone win the day.
“But we’ve got a good young side, the previous results in the competition speak for themselves.”
