It's hard to keep the cricketing Currie brothers out of the headlines these days !
While elder brother Bradley is spearheading Bashley Rydal's push for the ECB Southern Premier League title, so younger sibling Scott [left] is making his way back from a serious back injury - and how !
The 18-year old Academy all-rounder celebrated a maiden century in Hampshire colours today, hitting an undefeated 127 in the Second XI Championship match against Glamorgan on the Ageas Bowl Nursery Ground.
He came to the crease with Hampshire wobbling at 148-6 (Ian Holland 64) and promptly shared a 97-run stand with Harry Came (40) and then added an unbroken 123 with Oxford Brookes off-spinner Calvin Harrison (45*) as Hampshire closed at 364-7 declared.    It was the second century of Currie's fledgling career : his last came for Dorset Under-12s !
Currie completed a memorable two days by taking 4-43 with the ball as Glamorgan closed 259-7 to force a draw.
  • St Cross Symondians batsman Billy Mead made 96 for the MCC YCs against Gloucestershire.
