A truncated competition which began with him umpiring at both ends in Overton's home first round match against Ventnor has culminated in Portsmouth-based Andy Anthony being appointed to officiate the National Village Cup final at Lord's on Saturday week September 19.
Colwall and Redbourn will contest The Village Cup final. It will be the only non-professional match played at Lord’s this summer. As per the current Government guidelines, the match will be played behind closed doors without spectators.
Anthony follows in the footsteps of SCP colleagues Dave Bull and Paul Sparshott, who have previously umpired the Village Cup final.
