South Wilts will have their eyes fixed on the outcome of today's northern ECB indoor cricket sixes championships at Old Trafford - because they have been paired against the winners in the Lord's finals on Sunday March 31.
Four clubs came from far and wide to play in Lancashire's plush indoor centre, with Shropshire champions Grasshoppers beating North East Premier League side Tynemouth (90) by four wickets, followed by a second semi-final in which Sheffield-based Hallam were dismissed for 71, Lincolnshire side Cherry Willingham having posted 86-3.
The eventual Old Trafford winners - either Grasshoppers or Cherry Willingham - will take on South Wilts in the second semi-final at Lords, after the curtain raiser between strongly fancied Canterbury (who knocked out Sparsholt) and Pembrokeshire side Neyland, who are in London for a third time in recent seasons.
South Wilts will be making their Lord's debuts, having beaten Cheltenham Civil Service and Exeter University in the Taunton play-offs.
