St Cross Symondians have swooped to sign Lymington batting prospect Kamran Dhariwal - the announcement coming shortly after the 20-year old Bristol University medical student had hit Derbyshire's full county attack for a career-best 143.
Dhariwal, who has scored over 1,000 runs in all cricket for the past two seasons, made his 143 playing for the South Asian Academy in Derbyshire's final warm-up match before the start of the county championship season.
His departure has left a gaping hole in Lymington's top order, but his move is a logical one taking into account he lives in Winchester and has to travel down from Bristol to play locally. He played regularly for Hampshire seconds in 2024 (making 84 against Kent II) and has been in the county pathway system for some time. Picture James Robinson.
