SWAY have been given the green light for promotion into Southern Premier League Division 3 in 2022 having finished runners-up to Havant II in Hampshire League Division 1 this past summer.
The ambitious New Forest club, which won 13 of its 14 matches in 2021, is required to add separate umpire's changing facilities at the Jubilee Ground in order to achieve the necessary accreditation.
Havant II and Sway will replace relegated pair Hythe & Dibden and Tichborne Park in SPL3 next summer.
Sway's amazing climb of the HL pyramid began 12 years ago when they were Regional 4 South West champions. The ensuing years saw seven promotions, the foundations for the past season's success largely being based on a maiden fourth-place finish in CD1 in 2019. Sway second team's Division 4 West title triumph put the icing on the cake of a wonderful season for the village club, population little over 3,000 and with a junior section to be admired.
