Promising Ventnor cricketer Sam Mills is swapping his cricket bat for his rugby boots having just hit a maiden hundred for Hampshire's youngsters in the rain abandoned ECB Under-18 County Championship match against Sussex YCs at Blackstone.
Mills, who has just secured an opening spot in Hampshire's Academy side, hit 108 of Hampshire's 431-8 before rushing back to his Isle of Wight home to pack his bags for a flight to Cape Town, where he will link up with Rugby School's touring side.
