
Hook & Newnham Basics’ cricketer Vince Gardner celebrated his maiden season at seniors’ level by being named Hampshire 50-plus Player of the Year.
Gardner, pictured, made 240 runs in his five innings for the 50s, hitting an unbeaten 107 when Hampshire chased down a Channel Islands total 249-6 to win by six wickets at the KGV.
