Tom Morton wants his triple South Wilts title winning side to raise the bar in the ECB Southern Electric Premier Division visit to Burridge, 11.30.
South Wilts are riding high at the top 18 points clear of Havant with seven games gone.
But leading run gun Morton isn’t happy with the way his side is playing.
“We haven’t performed that well the last three weeks but managed to get through unscathed, I’m looking for a more rounded performance at Burridge tomorrow,” he said.
And Morton doesn’t want any his side looking at the league table and thinking Burridge will be a pushover.
“They may be second from bottom, but they gave us a tough game last season and have some high quality batters with a great deal of Premier League runs and experience - the type of guys who will enjoy the challenge and I’m expecting them to be up for this,” he added.
South Wilts, who host Havant in the ECB Royal London Cup zone final at Bemerton on Sunday (1pm), call up Jack Mynott, who marked his return from Loughborough University with a half-century and wicket taking role in the second team.
But 16-year old William Wade remains in the side – on merit.
“Will’s done really well, getting a key 50 on debut and batting well against a high quality Bashley spin attack last week, so I’ve no hesitation in picking him,” Morton added.
Burridge, who doubled their win tally with a recent victory over Ventnor, have Jamie Rood back from studies at Cape Town University.
Burridge: Kenway, Steward, Richards, Gatting, Savident, Dods, Ankers, Collings-Wells, Rood, Stancliffe, McMurray.
South Wilts: Morton, Abel, Mynott, Wade, Hayward, Riddle, Hibberd, Duffield, Franklin, Foley, Warner
