Bashley (Rydal) toss raw and untried teenage medium-pace bowler Sean Read, pictured, into the mix for his ECB Southern Premier League debut against winless Ventnor at Steephill today, 11.30.
The 19-year old son of former Rydal legend Don Read gets his chance because left-armer Andy Neal is injured and Jake Lilley is still troubled by a nagging thumb injury.
Bottom club Ventnor are boosted by the return of Tom Friend after university studies, with 16-year old John Buckman retaining his place after an encouraging debut against Alton.
Ventnor: R Snell, G Willis, A Glendenning, D Cox, T Friend, B Woodhouse, H Calloway, A Wilson, J Buckman, T Corbin, A Horton.
Bashley (Rydal): Porter, Gates, Thurgood, Jacques, Bailiff, Ridley, Watkins, Digby, Thomson, Read, Nash.
Burridge are boosted by the return of several of the absentees from last weekend's defeat by South Wilts for the trip to out-of-sorts St Cross Symondians at the Green Jackets Ground, 11.30.
Former Hampshire all-rounder Lee Savident, wicketkeeper Will Steward and Jamie Richards all missed the first defeat of the season to South Wilts.  Their return gives Burridge a far better balance.
St Cross Symondians began the season with three wins, but their past three games have produced a nerve racking one-wicket victory over the Hampshire Academy, followed by home defeats by Lymington and a heart stopping last-ball loss to Havant.
Guernsey's Matt Stokes misses the game, as does Harry Foyle.
St Cross Symondians: Taylor, Ayres, Bransgrove, Farooq, T Foyle, Hollins, Kimber, Marsh, Rouse, Worker, D Young.  Burridge: Ankers, Savident, Hewitt, Collings-Wells, Dods, Stevenson, Steward, Fitchet, Richards, Stancliffe and McMurray.
