South African Geoff Dods took the man-of-the-match accolades as Burridge swept back to the ECB Southern Premier League summit with a comfortable seven-wicket win over the Hampshire Academy on the Ageas Bowl Nursery Ground.
The Cape Town all-rounder routed the Academy top order with a spell of 6-19 of 14 overs and then helped ease Burridge home with an unbeaten 46.
Brad Taylor (37) and Ben Duggan (22) took the Academy to 74-1, but the whole complex of the game changed when Dods, pictured, was introduced to the attack.
He took six of the next seven wickets to fall, with Tom Scriven (35) the only batsman to deny him for any meaningful time as the Academy tottered to 151 all out.
Burridge lost two cheap wickets, but Dan Hewitt (38) sealed one end before Dods (46) and Lee Savident (48) guided the visitors to victory.
