Bashley (Rydal) II remain winless and bottom of Southern Premier League Division 2 despite Simon Ridley’s efforts at Hartley Wintney.

But Bashley, at 286-8, fell 12 runs short of Hartley Wintney’s 298-6 (Scott Baldwin 71), which secured a first league win of the season.
Guernsey exile Jeremy Frith bowled Sparsholt to a six-wicket SPL2 win, ripping out the entire Paultons middle-order at Locks lane. Frith’s 5-28 return had Paultons on their knees at 48-6 before Rob O’Brien (34) helped his side to a more competitive 118 all out. The Southampton hockey player then took 3-31, but Kiwi Kyle Ruffell (41) guided Sparsholt home.
Australian teen Ben Moss hit his first competitive fifty on English soil by making 53 as Calmore Sports chased down Hambledon’s 174-9. James Atkinson, with 60 and a 3-28 spin return, starred for Hambledon, but was unable to prevent Moss, Ben Perry (38) and Martin Hardy (25) from easing Calmore home.
