Langley Manor and newly promoted Fair Oak are the only Southern Premier League Division 3 clubs unbeaten after two rounds of matches.
The Manor, relegated from SPL2 last season, mauled newcomers Ryde by 193 runs, while Oaks trimmed Hursley Park by a 57-run margin.
Ryde, runners-up in Hampshire League CD1 last summer, saw their attack smashed for 273-5 at Knellers Lane, where Jack Budd hit 73.
The Noble brothers ploughed through Ryde, with Graham (4-17) and Rob (3-31) reducing the islanders to 44-7 before Stuart Robertson spared their blushes.
Oaks’ 207-9 proved too many for visiting Hursley Park.
Lee Harrop’s unbeaten 117 guided Gosport Borough to an eight-wicket win over Lymington II, while George Chaffer’s return from university proved key as Basingstoke got past St Cross Symondians’ 173 to win by two wickets.
