HOOK and Newnham Basics lost ground on Southern Electric Premier Division One leaders New Milton after their home game against Andover was washed out - Friday's heavy rain having got under the KGV covers. It was the first time this season an SPL1 game had been lost to the weather. The unplayed fixture leaves Hook playing catch-up as they go into Saturday's Hartley Wintney derby ten poinyts adrift of New Milton. Hartley Wintney won at Hook earlier in the season and need a win themselves to ease their rising relegaytion fears.
