Ventnor won the Isle of Wight indoor six-a-side championships after emphatic victories over Northwood and Ryde.
Ben Attrill (39), George Watts (35), Ross Whyte (28) and Ben Woodhouse (27) all 'retired' as Ventnor ran up a formidable 170-2 in the semi-final, Northwood replying with 101-3 (Kevin Cooper 25), Watts taking 2-12.
Ryde, who overwhelmed Island Bakeries (90) in their semi-final, were rushed out for 60 (Mark Oatley 20) by Ventnor, Attrill and Watts sharing four of the wickets. Ventnor romped to a six-wicket win.
George Watts's presence in the cup winning team will get island tongues wagging on whether the New Milton captain will play SPL cricket at Steephill next summer.
