LANGLEY MANOR lost their opening match of the 1996 season, but won the next 13 to lift the Hampshire League Division 5 title at a canter, setting a new points record for the division. It was their fourth successive promotion.
Geoff Rhodes (357) and Kevin Cresswell (336) top scored, with Roy Rhodes making 115* in one match, alongside taking 24 wickets.  Steve Alborough took 25, while North Baddesley all-rounder Jon Bance took the CD5 prize with 31 scalps.    The Manor later went on to win the New Forest CA Stone Cup.
